Blog Guidelines

Reader Comments

We appreciate and welcome comments from our readers.  We have received many good comments, and we feel that your comments add to the value of this blog and are useful to the other readers of the blog.

All comments on this blog are moderated.  This means that when you post a comment, your comment will not immediately be visible to other readers.  We will review your comment as quickly as our workload allows.  If your comment, like most of the comments we receive, is constructive, useful, or interesting, we will approve it.  Once we approve it, it will immediately become visible to everyone who reads the blog.

Sometimes comments contain spelling, capitalization, or grammatical errors or content that needs further clarification.  When we receive comments like that, we make minor edits to the comments before approving them. If we need further clarification from you, we may contact you by email.

Some comments that we receive are of a private nature. We will address those comments privately and not share them on the blog.

Comments that are inappropriate or offensive or non-constructive, we will either respond to privately or ignore. In some cases, comments may link to a website that is not related to the article or to the content of this blog in any easily perceivable way.  In those cases, we may edit the comment, removing the link.

Linking and Reposting

If you want to link back to our blog postings or blog pages, we welcome that.  If you quote from our blog postings, we also appreciate a link back to our post. This gives proper credit for the quote and allows people to see the the context from which the quote was taken. We do not encourage reposting the full content of our posts.

If you have questions about any of these policies, please contact us.
