In December 2018 we announced that we were in the midst of a major expansion project — building a new state-of-the-art barn dedicated preserving rare and exotic breeds, breeding new varieties, and more. We’re thrilled to announce that the new facility is near completion and this week we began moving some of our breeds into their new space.

We’ve come a long way in the past century — from our first Hatchery located in a small house in Webster City, to our new facility offering the widest variety of rare and exotic poultry breeds in the country. Today we carry over 120 breeds of chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guineas, peafowl, pheasants and other rare and exotic breeds.

This new building will enable us to continue our ongoing mission to work to preserve endangered poultry breeds while remaining true to our roots.

Our sincerest thanks goes out to our entire team that worked tirelessly to make this project a reality. Take a minute to look through the image gallery below of our progress building the new barn. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue building for the future.
