TOO CUTE! WE RECEIVED OUR DOZENS OF CHICKS FROM YOU, AND HAD ONLY TWO CASUALTIES. ALL OUR CHICKENS WERE GETTING SO OLD, WE NEEDED TO “REFURBISH” THE BACK YARD! THANKS

Hello All, Newbie Here to the Chicken World
Just ordered a straight run of 25 babies and they will reach me on August 8th. I am excited to say the least. This is my first attempt at this, so please overlook any “crazy” questions from this country girl. I never was taught anything about chickens, but the older folks did have them and had a good time with them. I am hoping that I don’t do anything wrong with these. I am looking for a book of the basic skills for chicken raising. I don’t think, I know I won’t be able to eat any of them. I will enjoy the eggs I think. I wanted them to learn my grandchildren and for the experience. I have heard of all the joy they bring others, they seem to do funny things and I know they are not pets but can be trained to be gentle. I hope that is right. So, this is just to introduce myself and to ask for help and feedback. I don’t know what to do when they arrive. Guess I better ask about first. I know you keep them in the house and you have to feed them the chick liquid. Need help what do I keep them in. I am doing to fix a coop, I ordered the book on how to make a coop for them. Gosh, you guys wish me luck. Take Care Jeanette
All the pictures were adorable. How did you ever pick between 1st and last. Great for all chicken lovers to see. Thanks for your contest.
